Ribbon Cutting at Electric Beach

 

Mayor Di An Putnam, Members of the Board of Directors, Employees and staff of Electric Beach joined owner Jennifer Wright on Wednesday, April 18th, as she  takes the scissors to do the ribbon cutting honors on her new business venture.

Chamber members must sign up in advance for each year of the program.

Participants are required to offer the same discount/offer throughout the full six months of the program.

After each year, participants may decide to continue in the program, making changes to their special discount or offer as desired.

Participants must be members in good standing with the Chamber.

Other Information:

Information on the participants and their discounts will be compiled and published on the Chamber website as each new semester of the program begins.

Member-2-Member Discount participating members will receive a participation tent card to display at their business to promote their involvement in the program.

Club Fit is blown away!

It was a very blustery day.... for a ribbon cutting.

So we decided to take it inside

Chamber board members,  Pam Wickkiser, Michelle Miller and Theresa Mavity joined  owner of Club Fit Fitness Center/gym,  Stacy Van Deist and her staff for a Grand re-opening and ribbon cutting on Saturday, March 31st.

American Staffing opens in their new location

American Staffers cut the ribbon on Wednesday, March 14th, to open their new location at 330 1/2 Winnemucc Blvd. 

They welcomed the public with food, beverages, and raffle prizes. 

In Winnemucca since 1983, they were the first staffing office in the area and are still going strong.

We Wish You Luck! (or do we?)

Is there any such thing as luck...the luck of the Irish....You lucky stiff... I never win anything...

Everywhere people seem to have a different view of luck or good fortune.

Here at the Chamber, we believe in good timing, hard work, preparation, effort and persistence.

We find it amazing how many people who work hard, study diligently, commit to their goals and purpose often have more than their share of 'good luck'.

 

There is an old saying, "Luck is nothing more than preparation meeting opportunity."

We can't tell you how to prepare, what to study, how hard to work or how long it will take, but we can give you some pointers on how to improve you luck!

 

Believe in your self, your business, your goals, mission and destiny--for the long haul.

 

Have the courage to weather the lows and failures when you hit bottom, and the humility and gratitude when you reach the top o' the mountain.

 

Have a support system of people who care, believe in you and are willing to be there when you need them.

 

Take action in the right direction--you have to do something--and you have to keep moving in the right direction without worrying about the destination.

 

Have positive expectations.

Have a mindset driven by optimism.

We believe in education and learning. We believe in effort and hard work. We believe in persistence against all odds and we believe in faith and hope.

We even believe in a little good luck--now and then!
